Jump Start in Monte Sereno, CA

Jump start in Monte Sereno

RoadReady Tow sends jump starts to Monte Sereno, CA, about 9 miles from central San Jose. The price is $140 + tax and you hear it before dispatch.

Arrival is typically 30–45 minutes. The driver jumps the car, does a quick battery check and tells you whether the battery looks like it will hold a charge.

What the $140 + tax covers

• Jump start with a booster pack (gas, diesel, hybrid and EV 12-volt)
• Quick battery check and advice
• No membership; price confirmed before dispatch

Not included: battery replacement. If the battery will not hold a charge, the driver can tell you, and you can be towed or buy a replacement from a shop.

When a jump start is not the answer

• An EV whose main battery is empty needs mobile EV charging ($175 + tax).
• A car that will not hold a charge, or has stalled in water, needs a tow from Monte Sereno: about $250–$280 + tax to central San Jose.

Before the driver arrives

• Turn on your hazard lights and switch off lights, radio and chargers.
• Have your exact spot ready: a street address, cross street or your ZIP (95030).
• In a parking garage, tell the operator the level and the nearest entrance.
• If you feel unsafe or are in traffic, call 911 first.
